Rotating brushes collect debris into a hopper. Best for large debris, leaves and gravel on highways and wide roads. No suction — limited on fine dust.
High-velocity air suction lifts dust and fine particles. Better PM2.5 control. Best for smart city zones and pollution-sensitive areas.
Brushes + suction together — collects all debris sizes in one pass. Most versatile for Indian roads with mixed debris types. GenX specialises in these.
| Specification | What to Look For | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Working Width | 2.0m–3.2m for truck-mounted | Wider = fewer passes = more efficient |
| Hopper Capacity | Min 5,000L for city roads | Larger hopper = fewer tip runs = lower operating cost |
| Water Tank | 1,000L+ for dust suppression | Essential for PM2.5 compliance and Indian summer |
| Chassis | BharatBenz / Tata / Eicher | Indian chassis = local spare parts = lower downtime |
| Brush Type | Replaceable, adjustable pressure | Worn brushes = wasted fuel, poor cleaning |
| Suction Power | 15,000–25,000 m³/hr | More suction = better fine dust collection |
| Ground Clearance | 250mm+ for Indian roads | Prevents damage on broken/uneven road surfaces |
Imported parts = longer spare parts lead times = more downtime during breakdowns.
European or Chinese chassis = no local spare parts. Indian chassis (BharatBenz, Tata) = your workshop can handle it.
A real manufacturer will always say yes. A trader or assembler will give excuses.
Get the SLA on paper. 48hr response vs 2-week response is the difference between profitable and losing operations.
Not a dealbreaker for new companies, but genuine references matter. Check the work was actually done.
A sweeper without proper suction specs, wrong hopper size or cheap Chinese chassis will cost 3x more in operations and downtime within 18 months.
A European sweeper with 6-week spare parts lead time means 6 weeks of non-operation every time something breaks. Indian manufacture = Indian service.
Many sweepers are not designed for Indian monsoon. Unsealed hoppers, non-waterproof electricals and low ground clearance cause expensive monsoon failures.
Without an Annual Maintenance Contract, equipment health degrades fast. Include AMC in your tender requirements or budget for it separately.
Our sweepers are 100% designed in-house by a Chartered Engineer team, fabricated at Modinagar (55km from Delhi), built on BharatBenz/Tata chassis and tested for Indian road and monsoon conditions before delivery. Factory visits welcome. GeM and tender documentation provided.
